ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to determine the biocidal activity of the essential oil and the alcoholic and aqueous extracts of Cymbopogon citratus “Hierba luisa” and Rosmarinus officinalis “Romero” on Aedes aegypti. The study species was collected from the town of Galindo in the district of Laredo and the hamlet of Trigopampa, Otuzco province, La Libertad region respectively; Subsequently, the plant species was identified and classified in the Herbarium truxillense, deposited with codes No. 60304 and 60306. The study methodology included; the phytochemistry of the plant species and the biocidal evaluation of the species against adult A. aegypti. As a result, it was obtained that the essential oil, as well as the 96° ethanolic and aqueous extracts Cymbopogon citratus “Hieba luisa” and Rosmarinus officinalis “Romero” did have a biocidal effect on A. aegypti (Río Seco strain, Trujillo)
