The impact of parasitic diseases in the world is great, since they greatly affect the health and life expectancy of millions of people due to their high prevalence and the presence of different types of parasites, affecting early childhood. The objective of this work was to determine the incidence of intestinal parasitosis in children under 12 years of age hospitalized at the Santa Isabel Hospital in the years 2018 to 2020. In the study method, the UTES 06 Research Area obtained permission to access and review the shared database of parasite analysis of patients treated between years of study, and the study obtained 565 children with suspected intestinal parasites. The results obtained were 50.8% with some types of intestinal parasites. The most frequent protozoan was Giardia lamblia (32.6%), while the most frequent helminth was Enterobius vermicularis (62.5%). A higher prevalence of parasites was observed in children from 0 to 3 years of age during the three years of the study. Higher rates of parasites were found in women during the three years of the study.
