ABSTRACT The place where the present Project will be executed: "DESIGN OF IRRIGATION BY DRIP FOR 20 HAS OF PITAHAYA (Hylocereus undatus), IN MARGINAL SOILS IN THE HIGH ATAHUALPA SECTOR. DISTRICT OF CHICAMA. PROVINCE OF ASCOPE. FREEDOM. 2018 In this area, crop varieties are cultivated, but mostly cane. Due to the high loss of water by conduction and distribution, irrigation efficiency does not exceed 40%, which affects crops, this being the central problem to be solved, which is why it was decided to change the traditional irrigation system to gravity (by furrows), to the irrigation system pressurized by dripping. The Project Planning is based on the disposition of the existing irrigation infrastructure in the farm, proposed crop to be implemented, the topography, type of soil and the quality and quantity of water offered. Also in the installation of Cultivation of Pitahaya, which has a great demand in the international market. Which seeks to increase the number of hectares oriented to the production of Pitahaya, in marginal soils. Soils that need a certain amount of organic matter to be scarce. The designed irrigation system includes a Control Head (Filtration and Fertilization Management), Main Conduction Line with 110 and 90 mm PVC Pipes. Flexible Union Class 5, 2 "Irrigation Arches, Canopy with PVC Pipes 75 and 63 mm UF C-5 and 1 ½" SP C-7.5 and Irrigation Sides for 8 Ha. For the operation of the system it is required to a 30 HP submersible pump, to be provided by the Beneficiary, which has Single Phase Electricity in the Premises.
