Abstract Knowledge of service expectations and perceptions. Objective: Determine the relationship of age group, sex and level of education with the overall satisfaction of the emergency service user. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional correlational study, carried out on emergency service users who wish to participate by applying a survey. The association between demographic characteristics and global satisfaction was calculated. Results: 55% of the patients were female; 39.8% between 20 and 64 years old; 36% adults and 24.2% older adults. The majority of users (49.7%) had secondary education, followed by 23.2% with technical education, 17.8% with completed primary education, 9.4% with university education and 2.9% were illiterate. In total 44.36% satisfaction and broad satisfaction. Associated with global satisfaction was found: age group (p=0.02). No relationship was found between sex and level of education with global satisfaction: p= 0.59 and p= 0.18 respectively. Conclusions: The age group is related to the levels of global satisfaction.
