Abstract: El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar la calidad fisicoquímica de UVINUL MC 80 materia prima de un laboratorio farmacéutico nacional con respecto a la Farmacopea de los Estados Unidos, versión 40 (USP 40). Para ello se trabajó con una muestra de 30 g del lote: 56298324U0. Los parámetros fisicoquímicos evaluados fueron: descripción, solubilidad, índice de refracción y extinción específica. Los resultados obtenidos fueron conformes de acuerdo a la especificación analítica para materia prima. Se concluye que UVINUL MC 80 como materia prima cumple con los estándares de calidad fisicoquímicas basadas en la USP 40.
ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to evaluate the physicochemical quality of Uvinul MC 80 raw material from a national pharmaceutical laboratory with respect to the United States Pharmacopeia, version 40 (USP 40 ). For this, a 30 g sample was used from the bacth: 56298324U0. The physicochemical parameters evaluated were: description, solubility, refractive index and specific extinction. The results obtained were in accordance with the analytical specification for raw materials. It is concluded that Uvinul MC 80 as raw material complies with the physicochemical quality standards based on USP 40.
