The general objective of this research was to improve the IT security of Profuturo AFP's server infrastructure through the application of hardening and patching; the type of research was applied and of pre-experimental design. A population sample of 15 company managers directly responsible for IT management was used. The results showed that for the first indicator "Level of vulnerability of the server infrastructure" there was an increase from 1.43 to 4.63 points (3.20 points = 64.00%), for the second indicator "Level of administrative control of updates" there was another increase from 1.61 to 4.50 points (2.00%), and for the second indicator "Level of administrative control of updates" there was another increase from 1.61 to 4.50 points (2.00%). 61 to 4.50 points (2.89 points = 57.80%) and for the third indicator, "IT security risk index" there was another increase from 1.50 to 4.58 points (2.88 points = 61.80%), which allowed a favorable result when applying the proposed technological solution. As a general conclusion, it was concluded that the implementation of hardening and patching contributes to significantly improve the IT security of the server infrastructure of the company under study.
