ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to determine the effect of three concentrations of oxalic acid applied by drip for the control of varroosis in colonies of Apis mellifera L. A completely randomized DCA design was used. The sample consisted of 16 hives of A. mellifera L. bees with varroosis, located in the Pampas de Jagüey Hamlet, in the Chicama district, Ascope Province, in the department of La Libertad during the period from September 2022 to December 2022. The 16 hives will be randomly distributed into 4 experimental treatments (T0, T1, T2 and T3) as indicated below: Control treatment (T0): Number of dead individuals of V. destructor, without treatment, Treatment 1 (T1): Oxalic acid in a concentration of 100 g, Treatment 2 (T2): Oxalic acid in a concentration of 200 g, Treatment 3 (T3): Oxalic acid in a concentration of 300 g. Of the 16 hives of A. mellifera L. bees with problems of the mite V. destructor, which were distributed in 4 treatments and 4 repetitions per treatment making a total of 16 hives of native bees. It was concluded that the control group (without treatment) did not show significant changes in the infestation of Varroa destructor, highlighting the need to apply specific treatments such as oxalic acid to effectively control varroosis and the application of 100 grams of oxalic acid showed a constant and significant reduction in the infestation of Varroa destructor in colonies of Apis mellifera L.
