This paper aims to address the issue of inefficient management of heavy machinery components, a common challenge in asset management within the mining sector that directly affects the availability of production equipment and operating costs. Through this work, a methodology based on advanced statistical models is developed and proposed to predict the useful life of critical components in mining trucks, thus improving accuracy in inventory management and maintenance planning. By using real data from mining operations and applying statistical analysis with specialized software, the durability of the components is estimated, and their replacement and maintenance are optimized. The report not only highlights deficiencies in current practices, which often rely on standard manufacturer specifications without considering the operational conditions of the equipment but also offers technical and operational solutions to improve component management. This approach has potential economic benefits, reducing operating and inventory costs, environmental benefits through waste minimization, and social benefits by improving collaboration and efficiency among work teams.
