The present research study determines the prevalence of intestinal parasitismo in children aged 1 to 10 years treated at the Buenos Aires Health Center in Cayma – Arequipa, Peru. The research was descriptive, carried out in the moments of July to October 2023. 294 patients aged 1-10 years were included. Fecal samples were taken and processed using the following methods: direct microscopic examination, sedimentation concentration technique without centrifugation and Graham test. The identification of protozoa and helminths was carried out using the Manual of Diagnostic Procedures for Intestinal Parasites in Man of the National Institute of Health (INS). A prevalence of 94.6 % (278) was obtained with 44.2% (130) being female and 50.4 % (148) being male. A prevalence of 48.3 % is estimated in children aged 1 to 5 years and 46.3 % in the group aged 6 to 10 years. The most common parasite was Entamoeba coli (22.4 %), and the last common was Hymenolepsis nana (0.6 %).
