This investigation was carried out to determine the risk factors associated with abandoning tuberculosis treatment in patients from the Pacasmayo Network. It was developed with a quantitative, descriptive-analytical and non-experimental methodology, where a questionnaire was applied to 23 patients, obtaining as a result that 65.2% of the patients were between 30 and 59 years old, 78.3% were male, 52.5 % single, 34.8% had a degree of primary education, 60.9% came from rural areas and 56.5% had an economic income of less than S/ 1,025. Furthermore, according to the social factors, it was found that 56.5% indicated that they had not received family support, 78.3% did not obtain social support, 69.6% indicated the presence of stigma, 56.5% consumed alcohol and 69.6% did not drink. drugs during treatment. In the institutional factors, it was found that 91.3% maintained a good relationship with the health personnel who treated them, 95.7% considered that the treatment was effective, 65.2% had knowledge about the disease and 65.2% expressed that they did not show any effects. adverse events during treatment. In conclusion, sex (p=0.008), origin (p=0.049), alcohol consumption (p=0.001), family support (p=0.019), social support (p=0.016) and the presence of adverse effects (p =0.005) were considered risk factors associated with abandoning tuberculosis treatment
