The method and type of research is quantitative cutting, specifically type correlation, since it intended to determine the possible relationship between two important variables and interest, as it is the use of computer tools and academic performance, in a representative sample of the study, in the particular question of students studying in distance mode. The results of the investigation to establish the positive relationship between the VI and the VD, only would confirm a trend or an alternative in the terms of the factors involved in the explanation of academic performance, so that you could generalize their results only in this aspect and taking into account the characteristics of the mode of distance education students.
