The purpose of this research is to determine the level of coping styles in the students of 4th and 5th secondary school of the Albert Einstein private educational institution of the district of Ate vitarte, during the 2019 period. The study corresponds to a quantitative research of descriptive scope and non-experimental-transverse design. The universe of the population is made up of 41 students of both sexes, male and female, between 14-17 years of age who are in 4th and 5th year of high school. The sample is census, that is, the entire population is taken into account. The technique used to collect the information was the Frydenberg and Lewis (1997) Adolescent Coping Scale (ACS), adapted by Canessa (2002) for metropolitan Lima. The results in their different dimensions were: the students of the 4th and 5th grade of high school, present high resolution problem styles with 44%; Moderated with 39%. Similarly, the style refers to others at a low level with 39%; followed by moderate with 34%; In addition to the non-productive coping style at low level with 54% and moderate at 34%. Concluding that students have moderate coping styles with 63%; Low with 24% and high with 12%. This means that most students tend to face different adverse situations; managing to get ahead in the face of difficulties.
