Comunicación terapéutica y prevención de infecciones respiratorias en menores de cinco años de madres quechua hablantes. Iguain Ayacucho 2017

Abstract

El trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general, determinar la relación que existe entre la comunicación terapéutica del enfermero y la prevención de infecciones respiratorias agudas en menores de cinco años hijos de madres quechua hablantes en el Puesto de Salud de Iguain – Ayacucho en el año 2017. La investigación se realizó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo utilizando el método descriptivo – correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra fue seleccionada mediante el muestreo probabilístico y para tener una representatividad de la población se planteó el muestreo sistemático de 109 madres de niños menores de 5 años que asisten al consultorio de atención integral del niño. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de una guía de entrevista diseñada por la investigadora de tipo politómicos, estructurado en cuatro dimensiones. De esta manera se pudo concluir que una adecuada comunicación terapéutica del enfermero asegura una buena prevención. Los resultados indican que existe una relación significativa entre la comunicación terapéutica del enfermero y la prevención de infecciones respiratorias agudas en menores de cinco años hijos de madres quechua hablantes. Se recomendó a las autoridades del puesto de salud, establecer un programa de educación dirigido a los profesionales de enfermería enfatizando la importancia de la comunicación terapéutica en la prevención de infecciones respiratorias agudas, a través de la implementación de talleres para fortalecer las habilidades y destrezas comunicacionales, básicamente en el idioma de predominio en la población de Iguain.

The general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the nurse’s therapeutic communication and the prevention of acute respiratory infections in children under five years of age who were mothers of Quechua speakers at the Iguaín - Ayacucho Health Post in 2017. The research was carried out under a quantitative approach using the descriptive - correlating method of transversal type. The sample was selected through non-probabilistic sampling and, in order to have population representativeness, the sampling of 109 mothers of children under 5 years of age attending the comprehensive child care clinic was considered. The data were collected through a questionnaire designed by the researcher of the semantic differential type, structured in four dimensions. In this way it was possible to conclude that an adequate therapeutic communication of the nurse ensures a good prevention. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the therapeutic communication of the nurse and the prevention of acute respiratory infections in children under five years of age of Quechua speaking mothers. It was recommended to the authorities of the health post, to establish an education program aimed at nursing professionals emphasizing the importance of therapeutic communication in the prevention of acute respiratory infections, through the implementation of workshops to strengthen communication skills and skills, Basically in the language of predominance in the population of Iguain
