The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between the quality of spiritual care and the level of suffering in parents, in the neonatal intensive care unit, Amazónico Hospital, Yarinacochas, 2018. Descriptive-correlational, non-experimental, population 125 people and sample 95. To collect the information the instrument was the questionnaire, for the first variable the reliability was 0, 920 and for the second variable was 0.989. Results: Levels of quality of spiritual care is low 65 (68, 4%) and in its dimensions: continuous care, low level 56 (58, 9%); Timely care, low level 64 (67.4%); human care, low level 64 (67.4%); safe care, low level 66 (69.5%); level of suffering in parents, low level 39 (41.1%). Conclusion: There is an inverse and significant relationship between the quality of spiritual care and the level of suffering in the parents in the neonatal intensive care unit, 2018. Recommendation: Neonatal intensive care nurses provide care with quality and warmth that includes spiritual care to reduce the level of suffering of parents in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Amazónico Yarinacocha Hospital.
