The objective of this research is to determine the level of emotional regulation of adolescents at the Prince of Asturias School in the district of Villa El Salvador - Lima, 2018. The study corresponds to a descriptive, basic level research with a quantitative approach to according to the handling of the data. The research design is non-experimental, cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 120 adolescents, 60 men and 60 women, students of the 4th and 5th year of secondary education, belonging to the Prince of Asturias School of the Villa El Salvador district in the city of Lima. The sample is census and intact; that is, the entire population is taken into account. The technique used for the collection of the information was the survey and the instrument was the Difficulties Scale of Emotional Regulation-DERS (Gratz & Roemer, 2004), adapted version of Huamani & Saravia (2017), which evaluates 4 dimensions: consciousness, rejection, strategies and goals. It is established as a conclusion that the level of emotional regulation in adolescents of the Prince of Asturias school, is 53% low product of a set of internal and external factors that do not favor the control and emotional stability of students.
