The objective of this work was to evaluate the healing activity of the hydroalcoholic extract of the Croton tyndaridum Croizat bark (BLOOD OF DEGREE) in open wounds induced in male rats with hyperglycemia. Methodology: the research was explanatory, basic, of experimental design in vivo. Croton tyndaridum Croizat bark was collected in the district of Chanchamayo, department of Junín, experimental animals were obtained at the National Institute of Health. To induce glycemia, a solution of 25 mg / kg Aloxane was used for 3 days and the hyperglycemia values were measured with an Accu-Chek Active Roche digital glucometer. A gel based on Carbopol 940 in concentration 1-2% and Triethanolamine was prepared, at a concentration of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% Cicatricure® was used as a positive control. Ketamine 100 mg / Kg was administered to avoid pain and to perform lacerations in animals. Additionally, the phytochemical gait and solubility tests were performed. Results: the hydroalcoholic extract was soluble in water, ethanol and methanol, the phytochemical march presented secondary metabolites such as phenolic compounds, tannins, flavonoids, coumarins, alkaloids, steroids, glycosides. The hyperglycemia achieved by the experimental animals was 200-227 mg / dL, the healing activity was evident in all concentrations, with 75% being the best performance. The pure extract also showed healing activity, however the Cicatricure® positive control showed a greater effect in less time healing the incised wound.
