The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of knowledge and habits in the oral health care of patients between 15 and 40 years, who attended the Maria Auxiliadora Hospital in 2018. The design of the research was descriptive. The type of research was observational, prospective and transversal. In order to fulfill the objective of the research, we used a sample that consisted of 100 patients who attended the Maria Auxiliadora Hospital, who were selected in a non-random manner for convenience and who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria that were raised in the study. The data was then processed using the statistical software SPSS version 23, and descriptive and inferential statistics were applied. In the results it is observed that in great majority in a number of 66 with a percentage of 66%, the degree of knowledge that the patients present is of Medium; likewise, in a number of 24 in a percentage of 24% they have a low level of knowledge and finally in a number of 10 with a percentage of 10% they have a high level of knowledge. It is concluded that the Degree of knowledge in patients is Medium.
