poca conocida.
The animals in assisted therapy are the rehabilitation therapists, given their results, they suggest that they can be applicable and beneficial in patients of different pathologies without adverse effects, since they initiate contact with the animal, it will be made known that this does not it will hurt you, what you want is for the animal to help the patient feel better and access multiple therapies with animals for this pleasant experience (Theory of Sensitive Integration). The animals, in their diversity, have a point in common that is their disinterested affection, and seeking that their partner is in a good psychophysical state. The ability of a dog or a horse to be attentive to commands and training signals can facilitate the development of these skills in a patient; it is a multisensory experience for the latter, which can improve attention to tasks and the integration of therapeutic experiences. The use of Equine Therapy has shown good results in patients with Cerebral Palsy, the activity of riding the animal encourages the mobilization of the pelvis and pace of walking of a normal person. Cannotherapy, in assisted therapy, focuses on following orders (concentration) to patients with autism and with little physical activity; It is a cheap way to adopt a dog, but not all meet the characteristics to use in therapy, despite that, there are allergic people who due to their condition should have it as a precaution. It was learned that children with Down Syndrome work very well with dolphins, for all the benefits that their environment (water) brings, muscle tone begins to increase and they improve their posture. The use of animals in the health area is not recent but scientific research is limited, although only trained animals can perform this therapy, and its scarcity makes this type of therapy little known.
