The research was aimed at determining the relationship between sociocultural factors and the prevention of ferropenica anemia in mothers of children from 6 to 36 months, Hospital San Juan de Matucana 2019, the research was quantitative, method Descriptive, correlational and non-experimental design, as a population was 148 mothers and as a sample to 107. As a technique, the survey was used as a tool for the questionnaire; Validated by expert judgement and Crombach Alpha with a reliability of 0.803 and 0.822. According to the results, 51.40% of mothers present sociocultural factors at a regular level, on the other hand 50.47% have a prevention of iron deficiency anemia also regular. It was concluded that there is a direct relationship between socio-cultural factors and the prevention of ferropenica anemia in mothers according to the Spearman correlation of 0688. The head of the Department of Nursing was recommended to carry out training programs for nurses to prevent iron deficiency anemia, where they will be offered new strategies that involve mothers and families in order to increase the Level of prevention in them.
