The emergency services of health institutions are usually the establishments where women victims of gender violence (VG) attend, however, only about 1% of the problem of violence is identified by health professionals who limit their Attention to treating physical ailments without linking them to violence. General objective: Determine the relationship of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of doctors and nurses in the care of women victims of VG in the emergency services in Metropolitan Lima. Descriptive, analytical, correlational, cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 142 doctors and 56 nurses selected randomly in 5 hospitals of Lima MINSA. The instrument is a questionnaire validated pearson test item> 0.2, for the reliability is applied the alpha test of cronbach = 1. Processing through the program excell and the statistical package SPSS version 17, the degree of significance was calculated with the method of Chi square. Results: The knowledge of doctors and nurses about VG is medium to low, the behavior towards the victim is deficient, the average attitude toward gender violence prevails, the rejection being greater among nurses than among doctors, and a certain permissiveness to the VG in some aspects.
