This article seeks to analyze the incidence of the investment of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in transport infrastructure on the economic growth of the main countries of Asia and Latin America in the pre-pandemic context (2006-2019), in addition to specifying the type of transport that impacts to a greater extent on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of each region. For this, the fixed effects model is used in panel data, whose control variables are imports, exports, inflation, and average capital depreciation rate. The main finding is the verification of the positive and meaningful relationship between the investment of PPPs in transport and the GDP of both regions, with the impact being greater in Latin America than in Asia. Secondly, it is seen that PPP investment in airports drives economic growth in Latin America to a greater extent, followed by highway projects; while in Asia it is more favorable for private resources to be allocated to the development of railways and immediately after to the ports.
