Abstract: The present research aims to establish a relationship between complications that occur during labor and anemia in puerperal women at the Rene Toche Groppo Hospital - Essalud de Chincha, 2019, whose methodology was It is a basic, cross-sectional, retrospective, level correlational and non-experimental design, with a sample of 213 puerperal women who have suffered some complications during labor, in their results, the general data we have that the prevailing ages were 20 to 29 years, with 53.1%, level Education that predominated was secondary, with 57.3%, a history of anemia, where 52.1% reported not having previously presented anemia, parity was, 68.5% are multiparous, the incidence of anemia was 50.2%, regarding the period of delay, the most frequent complications were: 26.7% had hypotonia, followed by 26.3% had a previous rupture of the base, 25.8% had a prolonged active phase; In the second stage, the following complications were found: 59.6% had a vulvo-perineal tear, followed by 22.5% by the type of delivery and 17.8% a cervical tear; Regarding complications during the delivery period, 42.3% had remains retention, 41.3% had uterine atony and 16.4% the type of placental abruption, concluding that the complications that are significantly related to anemia occurred during the period Expulsive and childbirth.
