Over the years we have seen how the construction of schools located in the high Andean areas is developed in our country, with a greater impact in areas located over 4,200 meters above sea level, which is known as the Puna regions. These infrastructures have been running with the same characteristics as those that would be implemented in coastal areas or lower natural regions such as Yunga, Quechua, Suni, high or low jungle. The objective of this thesis is to develop a classroom module that guarantees habitability, thermal insulation and thermal comfort for an educational institution in the Ajoyani district. This city is located in the Puna region at an altitude of 4250 meters above sea level and has a fairly cold climate with an average temperature between -9 ° C to 7 ° C. To this end, the research question is as follows: What technical characteristics of habitability and comfort should the classroom module have for an educational institution in the Ajoyani district? In this context, thermal comfort and thermal insulation are the two variables that we will analyze for the development of the investigation of this thesis. The research will present a quantitative approach, because it will measure these two variables of a classroom module located in the Ajoyani district, with the specific geographic and climatic characteristics. The following research tools were used, such as: questionnaire through surveys carried out in the same district of Ajoyani, in a sample population that was analyzed to 76 students and whose conclusions will help us to have conclusions regarding thermal comfort and Data registration form, which was made for each school in the research population and whose conclusions will help us to have conclusions regarding the thermal insulation of the school classrooms. The results of the surveys and of the technical data sheets collected in the field are analyzed and it is concluded that the thermal insulation characteristics used in school buildings are not adequate, having a low coefficient of thermal conductivity, which coincides with the surveys thermal comfort in all four dimensions. The proposal for the construction of a module with a better behavior in thermal insulation is based on the thermal conductivity of the materials, accessibility of materials, costs and execution time, for which a cost comparison is made at the end of the investigation. of work and execution times, between the current construction system and the new proposal of materials. Additional research could be carried out to identify other types of materials which would be very useful for schools, teachers and students.
