The main aspect of this study was to know the application of digital government as a strategy in the management of travel expenses of the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru, taking into account the benefits of use and employment in these areas such as the flow of information, both outward and return and scope of observation that could be immediately corrected.The method is applied type, qualitative approach and non-experimental design, descriptive level. For the data collection, the survey technique was used, carried out through the questionnaire composed of 24 questions, developed through the Likert Scale, determining its level of reliability through Cronbach's Alpha, obtaining the value of 0.814. For the population and sample, 44 administrative servants of the Institution were considered.In the results, the changes that the implementation of the digital government must generate are highlighted, causing greater productivity and improvements in the information management of the user areas, in addition to the importance of the participation of the heads and managers for the practice of said changes, managing to integrate adequately for this purpose, schedule and developactivities that provide the necessary knowledge to the staff and can have superior performance, requiring adequate preparation in the use of digital tools.
