In the educational technology department (DTE) of the María Alvarado educational institution, there are incidents of instability in digital services, and with a technological infrastructure in displacement, these factors being the cause of failures in user operations.Therefore, the content developed in this project of professional sufficiency, has the design of a technological platform given the functional mechanisms that digital services need, for this reason the creation of the virtualization technology infrastructure with VMware vSphere ESXi, also has with a backup copy mechanism for the DTE department, as it does not currently exist.This implementation project generates the converged solution using VMware for the stability of digital services in the educational institution.The framework of the implemented methodology was Dell DTP2M, this is the 5th version of the PMBOK, and it is being deployed in 4 phases: Initiation, planning, execution and control, and finally the closing of the project.For the educational institution, by implementing this new technological infrastructure with VMware vSphere ESXi, it has been possible to satisfy the needs of the educational center, reducing the park of physical servers, obtaining a high stability of digital services, saving operational costs with specialists, empowering the management of multiple servers based on the virtual environment through a single platform.
