The study entitled "Reduction of risk factors for occupational fatigue and drowsiness in drivers of diesel transport B5 S-50 in the company MC Transports S.R.L., Arequipa 2021" aims to reduce the risk factors for occupational fatigue in drivers. The on-site visit and inspection of the fleet of trucks of the company MC Transports S.R.L was carried out, applying questionnaires to the truck drivers and the operators of the escort vehicles. In the initial diagnosis, the process diagram of the fuel transportation service in a tanker tract that is carried out from the city of Arequipa to the city of Espinar in Cusco was made. The methodology being the application of socio-demographic questionnaires, the GIRCAL method to determine the levels of drowsiness and the SOFI-SM method to evaluate the dimensions of work fatigue, having as results that the drivers are with high BMI; When evaluating sleepiness, symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea were found during the drivers' rest process. On daytime breaks, drivers sleep less than 6 hours as a result of external noise disrupting sleep and disruption of the circadian circle, while drivers on nighttime rest sleep for 7 to 8 hours. Evaluating work fatigue, the drivers presented energy, physical discomfort in both driving shifts and drowsiness as an additional dimension in night driving; applying corrective measures such as nutritional recommendations to the operators as part of the comprehensive management of sleep hygiene, sleep monitoring with biometric controls entering and leaving the accommodation and sleep monitoring wristbands, improvement of rest environments with appropriate conditions with the purpose of drivers to have a good night's sleep. The result was an increase in the hours of rest in the drivers, registering the overnight stay of 8 hours and the day rest of 7 hours; which contributes to the driver having lower risks of fatigue and drowsiness in the performance of their work.
