The purpose of this work is to determine which refrigeration system is more suitable for the freezing of “Perico” fish of artisanal origin in the port of Matarani. The work is divided into 3 stages that coincide with the specific objectives. The first stage is the gathering of information regarding the refrigeration needs of “Perico” artisanal fisheries. These data were obtained through bibliographic consultation and will serve to determine the loads of the optimal solution that will be determined in the second stage of the work. The second stage consisted in the analysis of the efficiency of the refrigeration system applicable to artisanal fishing of “Perico” through a theoretical-technical evaluation with a model that proposes the VDI standard, the assigned score in the format was supported by the theoretical margin found. In the third stage the calculation of loads of the optimal solution was made, whose total load was 6.58 kW in 8 hours of freezing process for the previously determined ratio of 300 kg. Next, the evaluation of the costs of implementing the most appropriate refrigeration system through an economic comparison of the solution concepts using the prices of silimar equipment in the market.
