The present study entitled “Niveles del Autoconcepto en Alumnos Universitarios de la Carrera de Psicología de una Universidad Privada – Lima Metropolitana”, aimed to levels the self-concept in university students of the psychology career of a private university in Lima. For which I use a quantitative, descriptive and comparative methodology, for data collection the AF5 questionnaire was used for self-concept analysis, the population consisted of 821 psychology students from a Private University in the city of Lima and a sample of 263 students. The results showed that the majority of the surveyed students demonstrated a medium level of self-concept with 41.8%, while in their different dimensions all were at a medium level except for the family dimension, which was located at a high level with 40.3 % and the physical dimension that was at a low level with 38.0%. Regarding comparisons in which differences could be established, it was determined through the Mann-Whitney U coefficient that the p-value in the sex dimensions and Kruskal Wallis than the pvalue in the age and period dimensions. Income was greater than 0.05, which means that there are no significant differences between the variables, while the differences between self-concept and place of origin showed a p-value lower than 0.05, so there are differences between these variables. It was possible to conclude that in this study sample there are no significant differences between sex, age and period of admission with the self-concept while there is with the variable place of origin.
