The present study entitled "Design and evaluation of support for development work for artisanal mining in the sector of Ollachea - Puno Case Study" is located in the Department of Puno, Carabaya Province, District of Ollachea at an altitude of 3000 m.a.s.l. in the area called Balcón de oro, at the height of km 235 of the Southern Inter-Oceanic Highway (Section 4: Azángaro - Inambari Bridge). In the subway excavations of the mine, they have been developed and planned by means of planning and updates, results are obtained with information and planning of previous occasions, acquiring data according to that it has been working of the different existing mantles, mantles that have favorable results for their exploitation and mantles that do not have minimum exploitable law. Important aspects are considered for the development works in which they are carried out in a horizontal and vertical way; where the horizontal works consist of galleries and sublevels, the first ones are generally of 1.5 x 1.8 section. The perforation of these labors are with Jacklegs drills with integral holes of 4' and 6' long, in the blasting dynamites of 65% are used and as accessories are used, fulminants and slow wick. The cleaning of the fronts is made in a manual way and we have the use of forklifts and lamps to make the cleaning, and also the use of small winches of hoisting. Vertical tasks such as chimneys and shafts are also carried out with conventional equipment and similar products to horizontal tasks are used for blasting. In this case, the cleaning is done by gravity in the case of chimneys. development of a blasting, so we have the dependent variables such as the burden, spacing, drilling and blasting mesh. We also have the independent variables such as the geomechanical parameters of the rock, water, structural geology, etc. Which have been considered for the different calculations made to obtain an adequate drilling mesh and a good distribution of the explosive load according to the type of rock that is in mine in this case for a red marl. The evaluation of the preparation and development fronts was also carried out. With the development of this research work, it is expected to implement the sustainability of development work that will allow us to reduce operating costs, as well as provide greater safety in the work area. The work will cross a variety of rocks belonging to the Ananea formation, mainly constituted by shales, schistose shales, shale shales, micaceous shales and some intercalations of quartz sandstones, quartzite, apophysis of intrusive rocks.
