This work has been undertaken with the primary objective of solving the problems we had in the conventional system of tempering furnace for glass model HTBS and improve the productivity of this production line, for this a new transmission system was designed to repower the oven. The oven repowering involves the application of variable speed drives and servo motors to replace the original engines, electrical system design and manufacturing of a base for the new system. Suitable components were selected for all systems and after installation many tests were performed to synchronize the machine and obtain products without manufacturing defects. The production area records are used to obtain production data and analyze the problem. The obtained results showed that the repowering of the tempering furnace allowed the production capacity to be doubled, eliminating the main cause of process failures and allowing uninterrupted operation.
