This research was developed with the purpose of finding the relationship between the management of monitoring and control according to the PMBOK® - Sixth edition with the fulfillment of the scope, costs and schedule of the Fresh Water Pumping project in a mining company in the Ancash region, in the period 2017-2018. The participants were the 06 members of the project team of the mining company, who were in charge of the execution of the project. The research was of the quantitative type with correlational scope, nonexperimental design with cross-sectional strategy, non-random, non-probabilistic convenience sampling, and a survey was conducted for both variables studied. From the results it was possible to determine that the relationship between the variables, Monitoring Management and Control according to the PMBOK® - Sixth Edition with the Compliance of the Scope, Costs and Schedule is of the very high positive correlational type (spearman's rho = 0.971). For the variable to monitor and control scope management, 67.1% was obtained in compliance, to monitor and control schedule management, 64.3% was obtained, and to monitor and control cost management, 90.0%. Thus, it was concluded that the existence of a very high positive correlation indicates that both variables increase or decrease simultaneously and directly; that is to say, that an improvement in the Monitoring and Control Management according to the PMBOK® - Sixth Edition, has a direct influence on the improvement of the Compliance of the Scope, Costs and Schedule of the Project.
