Being creativity one of the most important skills to develop at a personal and professional levels, the aim of this investigation is to generate a definition for the competence creativity in the context what are traditionally considered to be non-creative careers, aligned to the need to improve Peruvian curricular design. Such definition will be formulated at a conceptual level and will serve professors who have not been previously trained in creativity in two ways: First to understand the components, criteria and achievement levels that demonstrate the competence creativity in such context, and second, to be able to integrate the components, criteria and levels in their syllabus and their classes, in order to develop creativity in their students, whom will be expected to generate innovations in their future work environments. The information unit is professors in the context of traditionally considered non creative careers and the analysis unit is the definition of the competence creativity in such context. For developing this competence we reviewed the creativity construct at present time and we consulted with experts regarding their knowledge and expertise on creativity, their expectations on the possible impact of teaching creativity in the referred context and regarding the definition for the competence creativity. We received feedback about achievements, weaknesses, observed problems and suggestions for implementation and integration in the curriculum of traditionally considered non creative careers, and possible impact on students and society. Resulted in a definition of the competence creativity with three components and nine criteria, each one with six levels of development. Possible problems could be that universities won´t associate creativity with innovation, professors won´t understand criteria, it could be difficult to apply in all the courses or it could generate discomfort as it would change professors and students teaching and learning paradigms which would be an indicator of innovation in Peruvian superior education.
