This research aims to analyze the correlation of the use of the Canvas educational platform and the achievement of cognitive skills in the students of the general economics course in the 2019 - II semester of the law degree from a Private University of Arequipa and Chiclayo. The research was mixed, descriptive type, concurrent embedded design of dominant model. Survey and observation were used as a technique and were applied to 180 students from 17 years of age to more than the first cycle of the general economics degree of the law degree; Cronbach's Alpha was used to measure the reliability of the questionnaire. In the results, it was observed that the correlation of the use of the educational platform in the achievement of comprehensive thinking is very low or almost null. The correlation of the use of the educational platform in achieving critical thinking is very low. The correlation of the use of the educational platform in achieving open problem solving is low. The observation sheet shows that 81% of the students who entered the university never used a virtual platform. In conclusion, there is a low positive correlation between the use of the Canvas educational platform and in the achievement of cognitive skills in the students of the general economics course in the 2019-II semester of the law degree since both variables have a positive correlation Pearson drop of .224 and with a significance of .003 since there is no correlation in all its dimensions and 81% of students are unaware of the use of the Canvas platform since in their schools they did not use and are only in the first cycle.
