Modern equipment for the treatment of external radiotherapy is called linear electron accelerator, these teams have electronic security systems in case of hardware and / or software failure, but there is no security system in case of personal error. That is why the people involved in the treatment of a patient with a linear electron accelerator must be trained (oncologist, medical physicist and medical technologist). The medical technologist is responsible for the handling of the transmission of this equipment, an error of operation in the linear accelerator that ended up affecting the health of the patient; The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) contains reports of human errors in radiotherapy that have caused the death of some patients. This Thesis work is aimed at students of medicine and medical technology, is based on the development of a simulation system to operate and program a linear electron accelerator, with this thesis work, students can learn the operation of a linear accelerator without the fear of making a mistake that ends up affecting the health of a person; In this way, better teaching to medical technology students can be done, and possible errors with respect to the operation can be avoided when programming a linear electron accelerator. The realization of this simulation system consists of 3 parts: the scalemodel of the linear accelerator, the dedicated keyboard and the graphical user interface program.
