The buying decision process is a subject of great interest inside marketing research. It is important to understand this process because it gives us a better insight into the mind of consumers and their behavior while shopping. This information allows marketing experts to elaborate effective strategies and to target them efficiently to their audience in order to guide their behavior in specific ways and achieve remembrance and customer loyalty. Nowadays, consumers look to develop a relationship with brands that embody their own personal values, and it’s the organization’s responsibility to enable that relationship. The buying decision process also known as the buyer black box, is the core of what we understand as consumer behavior since it evaluates an individual’s actions before, during and after a commercial transaction, given that we know that consumer behavior encompasses a general view of a person’s attitudes, both in and out of a commercial setting. Given this context, this process can be studied following an approach which uses the factors influencing consumer behavior as a measure. These are cultural, social, personal and psychological factors. This approach, presented by Kotler and Armstrong (2013) is widely utilized and its factors can be analyzed both individually and globally. Our study proposes the analysis of the buying decision process under the personal factors to determine whether a connection exists between the two variables.
