The objective of this research work was to describe how the comics and visual organizers (COV) strategy favors the development of written expression in English in A2 level undergraduate students at a private university in Lima in the 2020-2 academic year. The approach is qualitative; the scope, descriptive-explanatory and phenomenological design. The technique used was the semi-structured interview with 10 students of both genders, a sample obtained from a population of 55.The results showedthat the difficulty in the development of written expression in undergraduate students of level A2 of English is due to the fact that, for the most part, they studied in public schools, where they never wrote in English; They were only engaged in completing sentences or memorizing lists of words, so learning English was boring for them. The students expressed that they strengthened their written expression in English by feeling an interest in writing about topics that were familiar to them, they made sense of what they wrote; they were able to select, order and sequence their ideas within the text. This generated that the information enters their brains in an orderly way, the cognitive structures that are being learned are reinforced and that the information is retrieved faster. Likewise, students indicated that effective feedback, the opportunity to improve their grade, and working in pairs were key for them to seek to improve their performance. Therefore, it is concluded that the COV strategy has been valued by the students, because it strengthened the written expression in English by making them change their perception of its writing and that it is a non-complex process.
