The present research work has the main objective of dealing with a very important, related to the sustainability of mining in the city of Arequipa. In this research work the importance of the treatment of wastewater and its impact on the environment.Keep in mind that for a long time there was no treatment for sewage that was discharged intothe Chili River directly without treatment any. In this thesis, the physicochemical, inorganic and microbiological of the watersof the river Chili. During the years 2013 and 2014, the monitoring showed that the water was being affected by high concentrations of waste that was dumped into the river. These concentrations generated negative impacts in the population. As of December 2015, the parameters improved due to the start-up of the La Enlozada WWTP, when the waters were treated, the parameters of oils and fats and inorganic chemical elements decreased considerably. As of 2018, the monitoring results give results in which the concentrations already comply with the regulations. For the modeling, a free use Software has been used, called WASP. Through this program, the data obtained by means of a georeferencing tool for visualization.
