The purpose of this research work is to propose sustainable design criteria for the design stage of the Educational Institution No. 20178 Santa Rosa de Lima in the district of Quilmaná, province of Cañete. The project has been admitted by the National Program for Educational Infrastructure (PRONIED) and under Regional Management Resolution No. 60-2020-GRL / GRI, issued in Huacho on October 12, 2020, indicates an investment amount of S / 14,990,470.96 and a term of execution of 11 months (330 calendar days). The questionnaire applied for this purpose was based on the Likert Scale system, which has allowed us to identify the level of agreement or disagreement with what was raised, which has been of vital importance to us in defining criteria to consider, in addition to knowing points. of view of other professionals in the face of sustainable construction and how it influences society. The surveyed sample consisted of 36 professionals, including engineers, architects and urban planners, environmental engineers and other professionals involved with the previous study of the current infrastructure.The emphasis of our research on the application of sustainable design criteria begins because year after year organizations around the world apply innumerable efforts to safeguard the planet from pollution, for these reasons we make a call for awareness to apply new behaviors in our day to days that cause less damage to nature. Each region of our country has different characteristics in different aspects, both topographic and climatic, that is why it must be taken into account that, for each situation, its own design criteria must be evaluated.As construction professionals we feel capable and with the responsibility to contribute to this change. The current COVID-19 pandemic has not only exposed the insufficient infrastructure in our country, but also the need to live in a city and healthy environments. Schools have not been oblivious to this reality, for this reason and for the health of those who will be the future of tomorrow we want to contribute to change and make known to the entities the importance of applying these sustainable criteria, their effectiveness, changes in its environment and other benefits it offers.
