In the present research, the objective of determining how flipped learning favors the development of cognitive abilities of colorimetry in university students of the VII cycle of graphic design engineering and textile engineering was achieved, the methodology was used with a qualitative approach, explanatory scope and the design was action research. Study sample 13 students of average age 21-23 participated both men and women of the graphic design engineering and textile and clothing engineering careers, enrolled during 2019-1March academic year. The technique used for data collection is observation. The instrument used are the observation sheet. The research results determined that flexible environmentes categories, learning culture, and intentional content favor the development of cognitive colorimetry skills in the study sample and explain how students analyzed color elements, evaluated color systems, and created CIE Labcolor spaces. Finally, the research proposes to implement the flipped learning for the next academic cycle.
