The purpose of this research is the design, simulation and economic evaluation of a prototype refrigeration system using Peltier cells for the preservation of raw milk for small traders. The losses due to milk deterioration vary between 10 and 20% per month, which would be a great loss for them in terms of costs because they do not have a cooling system that can preserve the raw milk for a longer period for optimum marketing. The research was divided into four stages where the first step was to design the prototype to cool 30 liters of milk, the measurements and material were defined and then drawn in the Solidworks program. A resistance analysis was also carried out, obtaining a deformation in the lower part of the base of 0.072 mm, as well as a maximum tension in the lower part of 2.26785e+006N/m2 and a safety factor of 3. In the second stage the choice and calculation of the number of Peltier cells required was made. In the third stage the cooling process was simulated using the LabView program where the calculated data was entered and the results showed a temperature decrease of 0.34°C per minute cooling the entire quantity of milk in 60 minutes.
