Emotional regulation is considered one of the most important areas in children's development due to its effects on cognitive and social areas; in addition to being vital for the well-being of each infant. The general objective of this research was to determine the effect of applying the Play and Feel program to strengthen the regulation of emotions in five-year-old children from a public educational institution in Villa María del Triunfo. The research was quantitative and pre-experimental in design. The population was 28 five-year-old students. The instrument used for data collection was the Emotion Regulation Variable Checklist, created by the author. The results showed a significant increase in the emotion regulation variable in the population after the application of the program. To analyze the differences between the pretest and the posttest, the Wilconxon test for related samples was used, finding an increase in the emotional regulation variable and in each of its dimensions. It is concluded that the application of the Play and Feel program increased emotion regulation in 5-year-old children in the experimental group of an educational institution in Villa María del Triunfo.
