Abstract: El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la validez de contenido del Cuestionario de la Motivación hacia la Lectura de Wigfield, Guthrie y McGough (1996) el cual fue traducido al español por De la Puente, en 2015, y validado en el Perú para ser empleado con estudiantes universitarios. En esta investigación se adaptó y validó para estudiantes de cuarto año de educación secundaria. Se realizó un estudio desde un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño instrumental. Se usó el criterio de jueces para la adaptación y validación de contenido del instrumento y se obtuvo un V de Aiken de .98 para el cuestionario; para los ítems el coeficiente V de Aiken estuvo entre .86 y 1.00. Los resultados mostraron que el instrumento tiene una validez aceptable, concluyéndose que es idóneo para aplicarse en estudiantes de cuarto año de secundaria.
