This research aims to establish the relationship between Intercultural Sensitivity and Intercultural Communicative Competence of English teachers at the secondary level of private schools in UGEL 07. The study design was non-experimental, non-causal correlational. A non-probabilistic type of sampling was used and the selection was purposeful. The sample consisted of 70 English teachers, of both sexes. The instruments used were the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale from Chen and Starosta (2000) and the questionnaire to measure the Intercultural Communicative Competence - Cultural Intelligence Scale from Ang and Van Dyne (2015). The results indicate there is not direct and significant relationship between the Intercultural Sensitivity and the Intercultural Communicative Competence. There is a minimum significant relationship between the Interaction Confidence (dimension from the Intercultural Sensitivity) and the Cognitive and Motivational dimensions (from the Intercultural Communicative Competence). Likewise, there is a minimum significant relationship between the Interaction Enjoyment (dimension from the Intercultural Sensitivity) and the Metacognitive dimension (from the Intercultural Communicative Competence. The results obtained will be used for the design of plans, programs and / or academic contents that benefit the school community and thus contribute to a better understanding of the theory and practice of intercultural communicative competence.
