The present work subject of analysis assumed as objectives the evaluation and intervention; Thus, it was evaluated by identifying the reading and writing processes through the level of proficiency in a student who is in the third year of primary school in a Private Educational Institution with complications in learning; as well as, the intervention to establish the impact of the program on the level of mastery of reading and writing techniques. Empirical study which was based on a quantitative methodological aspect, ABA-type intrasubject design, applied to a nine-year-old male student. The instruments used were the Reading Process Assessment Battery – Revised (PROLEC-R) and the Writing Process Assessment Battery (PROESC), both adapted. According to the results, they specified the progress regarding the student’s writing and reading performance, favoring their school performance, where in the reading processes it went from a PD of 243 to 256, at a normal level; in writing from a PD from 37 to 86, moving from a low level to a medium level; therefore, after the discussion of the findings, it was possible to conclude that the intervention program prospered to a great extent the level of mastery in school performance in schoolchildren. However, its impact on students has been debated.
