Percepción de la actitud investigativa y probidad académica en estudiantes del programa de Ingeniería Industrial de una universidad pública

Abstract

El objetivo general del estudio fue analizar la percepción de la actitud investigativa y la percepción de la actitud hacia la probidad académica en los estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial de una universidad pública. La investigación tuvo un diseño fenomenológico. La muestra estuvo conformada por 24 estudiantes, 12 varones y 12 mujeres del 1er al 3er ciclo del programa de Ingeniería Industrial de una universidad pública, y fue escogida a través de un muestro no probabilístico de tipo intencional. Se emplearon tres instrumentos: la ficha de datos sociodemográficos, guía de entrevista semi estructurada y de grupo focal. Los resultados permitieron analizar la percepción que existe sobre los procesos que deben seguir los estudiantes para una buena investigación: Actitud académica, con habilidades investigativas y acciones de aprendizajes de buenas prácticas de estudio, y la actitud hacia la probidad académica, con valores éticos y morales que susciten la integridad personal de los estudiantes, desde los primeros ciclos. En conclusión, se logró analizar la percepción de la actitud investigativa y la percepción de la actitud hacia probidad académica en los estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial de una universidad pública. Se identificaron 10 categorías emergentes que permitieron la interpretación de los resultados. Las implicancias de los resultados han sido discutidas.

The general objective of the study was to analyze the perception of the investigative attitude and the perception of the attitude towards academic honesty in Industrial Engineering students of a public university. The research had a phenomenological design. The sample consisted of 24 students, 12 males and 12 females from the 1st to the 3rd cycle of the Industrial Engineering program of a public university, and was chosen through a non-probabilistic purposive sample. Three instruments were used: the sociodemographic data sheet, the semi-structured interview guide and the focus group. The results made it possible to analyze the perception of the processes that students should follow for good research: academic attitude, with research skills and learning actions of good study practices, and the attitude towards academic probity, with ethical and moral values that arouse the personal integrity of the students, from the first cycles. In conclusion, it was possible to analyze the perception of the investigative attitude and the perception of the attitude towards academic honesty in Industrial Engineering students of a public university. Ten emerging categories were identified that allowed the interpretation of the results. The implications of the results have been discussed.
