The objective of this professional sufficiency work, which is presented below, is to design didactic strategies to develop mathematical skills in first-year secondary school students from a private institution in San Miguel. For this, in the first chapter a diagnosis was made and the characteristics of the institution which has been studied for the proposal were described, based on an analysis which allows the development of competences in the area of Mathematics. Likewise, the justification that contains the current state of the students, the theoretical relevance and the practical significance of the work. In the second chapter (theoretical framework) it is developed in relation to the Humanist Sociocognitive Paradigm of: Piaget, Ausubel and Bruner (cognitive), Vygotsky and Feuerstein (social and cultural), Sternberg, Román and Diez (Theory of Intelligence) where the student acquires added knowledge with the values that allow a good formation as a person. Finally, chapter three develops the content of the curricular programming, focusing on the annual programming and the units based on the T model, in which the contents are described by competencies, learning methods, skills and abilities, and values-attitudes, all this lands in the sessions or activities considered learning strategies
