The main purpose of the professional proficiency work was to highlight the professional skills of the educational psychologist. For this purpose, a substantive analysis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) was presented, including diagnostic identification criteria, etiological factors, explanatory models of ADHD, as well as the main comorbid disorders; This conceptual framework made it possible to approach the evaluation and intervention of a case with indicators associated with the diagnosis. To carry out the evaluation, psychometric instruments were used that presented evidence based on the response to the item and on the factorial structuring; This base line allowed to shape an intervention plan, based on the cognitive-behavioral model since it presents evidence in the approach for this population, this together with the review of investigations that supported the inclination for this therapeutic model; A 12-session program was built, with a frequency of three times a week, where the training of skills in self-instructions, sustained and selective attention, as well as verbal memory that were found to be deficient in the case, were captured. The expected results will show that the sustained intervention will cause improvement in the functions of attention and memory of the minor evaluated.
