The purpose of this qualitative academic work is to improve the professional capacities of teachers with regard to curricular planning in the area of mathematics, specifically in problem solving, the design of participatory action research research. The in-depth interview was designed and applied to a sample of 5 teachers; with the purpose of identifying their perception on the management of the curricular programming in the area of mathematics to raise the levels of learning achievement of the students in the I.E. No. 32630 of San Miguel de Llacsa. Among the most outstanding conclusions we have that: The director as a pedagogical leader is the main person in charge of school management, he is the one who should promote the formation of effective leaders within the school. Motivated teachers will shape their pedagogical practice based on concrete documents as the basis for planning in their classroom, thereby progressively improving the learning of their students. Collegiate learning work is a strategy that will allow work at the teacher level, managing to improve educational quality through distributive leadership, collaborative work, and professional development among peers.
