The general objective of the research was to establish the relationship between Achievement Goals Tendencies and Self-concept. A non-causal correlational and non-experimental transectional design was used. The sample used was a stratified random sample of 96 students from the Engineering School of a private university. The instruments used were the Achievement Goals Tendencies Questionnaire and AF5. As a result, it was found that students have high scores in goals of achievement (93.8%) and learning (81.3%). Regarding the self-concept, it was identified that the moderate category has a higher relative frequency (40.6%).. It was also determined that the relation between variables was positive and weak(r = .205, p = .046). It is concluded that high Achievement Goals Tendencies are weakly associated with a high Self-concept.
