Education in a global sense, is seen as the main engine for human development in the social, economic and political spheres. The educational reality of Peru is characterized by its complexity and lack of attention, in it there are problems related to the lack of understanding in the areas of mathematics, communication and science (results of the PISA test, 2012), added to the low quality of teaching of some teachers and the scarce allocation of resources that the State provides. "Peruvian Educational Reality: Perspectives and repercussions" (2012). However, there is a Government initiative through the Ministry of Education to develop, apply and evaluate programs that provide teachers with new strategies to improve learning through capacities, skills, values and attitudes, promoting new forms of learn. In this context, the teacher assumes the task and mission of committing to quality education, based on the development of skills. Where you should use methodologies, strategies and capacity development. The pedagogical model is oriented towards the student constructing his own learning. This implies opening a route in the educational field under the approach of learning to learn on the part of the student and teaching to think on the part of the teacher (Ontoria, 1994: 9). Gonzáles (2005), affirms that in education, for decades and after centuries, the paradigm of teaching to know and do has been trying to leave behind to make way for learning to do, learning to live together and learning to know. It is verified then that we must support a meaningful education and for life by creating new scenarios to learn, either individually and/or collaboratively, developing the ability to understand and skills, without neglecting the values and attitudes oriented towards learning. significant. On the other hand, Novak (1972) starts from Ausubel's theory of significant learning (1963, 1968) to develop a learning theory based on the elaboration of conceptual maps that contributes to meaningful learning and for life. Novak, argues that meaningful learning takes place when the student builds his own learning and the teacher guides and accompanies this process. He also affirms that the theory of "concept maps" promotes the development of cognitive capacities, including comprehension capacity and skills. The application of this theory will be observed in the students of 6th grade "A" of the primary level in the I.E. Nº 1001 José Jiménez Borja of the Cercado de Lima District, specifically in the ability to understand and in the skills of identification, analysis and synthesis of the information. Therefore, the problem of this research is expressed as follows: What are the effects of the "Rationismap Program" on the comprehension capacity of the students of the 6th grade "A" of primary school of the I. E. Nº 1001 José Jiménez Borja , UGEL-03, of the Cercado de Lima District? Taking into account the main objective: Evaluate the effects of the "Rationismap Program" on the comprehension capacity of the students of the 6th grade "A" of primary school of the I. E. Nº 1001 José Jiménez Borja, UGEL-03, of the Cercado de Lima District, 2013. The chapters of this research are detailed below. The first chapter presents the approach to the problem made up of the presentation, definition of the same and the justification of the investigation. In the second chapter, the theoretical framework is addressed: the background, theoretical bases, definition of basic terms and the situational framework. In the third chapter, the general hypothesis, the specific hypotheses and the variables are defined. In the fourth chapter, the methodology is presented: type and design of the investigation, population and sample, techniques and instruments for data collection and data processing. In the fifth chapter, the results are presented: general data presentation and data analysis. In the sixth chapter, the discussion of results is presented. Finally, the seventh chapter contains the conclusions and recommendations. The interest of this research work is twofold: on the one hand, to validate that the application and development of concept maps, according to the theory proposed by J. Novak, allows developing the comprehension capacity of 6th grade "A" students. of the I. E. José Jiménez Borja Nº 1001 of the Cercado de Lima District and on the other hand, to base the conceptual maps in the teaching-learning processes through the learning to learn method. The research also considers the formulations of the following study questions: What are concept maps? Is it possible to link them to methodological processes to develop comprehension capacity? In other words, is it possible to apply a methodology with concept maps? That benefits
